At Uniteez, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to use our color palette generator to create beautiful designs — regardless of ability.
Our Commitment
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level, which sets the international standard for web accessibility. While we are not a large organization, we’ve built Uniteez with accessibility in mind from the start.
Accessibility Features
- ✅ Keyboard Navigation: All buttons and inputs are accessible via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space).
- ✅ Color Contrast: Text and UI elements meet minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1) for readability.
- ✅ Screen Reader Support: Key elements use semantic HTML and ARIA labels for screen readers.
- ✅ Colorblind Mode: Preview palettes in Protanopia, Deuteranopia, and Tritanopia filters to test accessibility.
- ✅ Resizable Text: Works well with browser zoom (up to 200%) without breaking layout.
- ✅ Clear Labels: All form fields (like color picker) have associated labels for assistive tech.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of Uniteez currently have limitations:
- ⚠️ No built-in high-contrast mode (beyond browser settings)
- ⚠️ No voice command support
- ⚠️ Drag-and-drop for saved palettes may not be fully keyboard-accessible
- ⚠️ SVG color filter preview (for colorblind modes) is visual-only
Continuous Improvement
We are actively working to improve accessibility. Since Uniteez is open and free, we welcome feedback from users with disabilities to help us make the tool better for everyone.
Feedback & Contact
If you experience any accessibility issues or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at: [email protected]. We respond within 3 business days.
Compatibility
Uniteez works best with modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies like:
- • NVDA + Firefox
- • JAWS + Chrome
- • VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
- • Android TalkBack
Third-Party Tools
We respect the work of other accessibility-focused tools like:
- • UI Colors – for simple, accessible color scales
- • Coolors – for creative color exploration
- • Paletton – for deep color theory and simulation
These tools inspire our ongoing efforts to make color design inclusive.
Future Goals
We plan to improve accessibility by:
- • Adding keyboard shortcuts (e.g., G = Generate)
- • Improving focus indicators
- • Enhancing screen reader announcements (e.g., “Palette copied!”)
- • Supporting prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-contrast
Thank you for using Uniteez. We’re here to help you create accessible, beautiful color palettes — because great design should be for everyone.
